What payment method have you been using to test? PayPal or CC?

PayPal won’t work at the moment because it’s an off-site payment solution. The next version of this plugin will support this by closely mimicking EDD’s current registration process. When a user is sent to PayPal, regardless of whether the payment is complete or not, the user will be created and sent login details. This is how EDD currently works.

I’ve patched EDD to include all the necessary functionality I need so waiting on the next update of EDD before the next version of this plugin is released.

No problem at all and you too!

Is there’s any news with PayPal integration?

The new version will be released when EDD 1.9 is released on January 8th

    Thanks

    Hi sumobi,

I have been testing my site live for the second day now and the auto registration stopped working along the way. I went back to test mode and it continue not to register the users. I deactivated the 3 plug ins that I recently installed to see if this would resolve but still did not help. Any suggestions as to what i can to get it to work again? Thanks sumobi.

    Hi,

What’s your website address? Do you have a free download so I can test it myself? Does it work when EDD and EDD Auto Register are the only plugins active on your site?

Yes, you can try a free download on my page. Go to musiczen.org (still under test) and click on the ‘Download Basic Version’ that will take you to my site hsnyc.co where you can test. I have noticed that it registers the free download, but when I log out and then try to purchase a license with the same e-mail, it does not auto log me in. Then when I do log in, I dont see the license purchase in the Purchase History. Only the free download. You can try it with the Stripe test info and see. Thanks sumobi.

    Hi Sumobi,

Just wanted to follow up on this issue. I have tried several things, including re-installing the plug-in. Nothing has worked and I am getting users who download the product with the same e-mail that get duplicate accounts (as ‘guest’). Thanks!

Sorry, I missed your last reply from a week ago.

This plugin only generates the initial user account, it does not automatically log them in. Hence if a customer purchased again while logged out, with the same email address, it would be marked as guest as you described. You could add a “Already have an account?” login link perhaps on the checkout to make this clearer.

I am planning on making some updates to this plugin to make this flow better, but currently busy.

I’ve tried purchasing your free product and a user account was not created for me. Was the plugin still active? If so, email me at [email protected] with admin account access and I’ll take a closer look when I can.
