Not sending emails

i’m having the same problem too, form looks and works nicely, no error messages, but the emails never show up, tried different accounts, checked spam folders as well, nothing.

I had an older version of Contact Form 7 (3.8) so u upgraded it (to 3.8.1), that didn’t help either.

Please help.

@joegp – the solution you are pointing to in the link you have now posted several times would likely only be applicable in only a small percentage of cases.

A much more helpful link for most people is Contact Form 7 Email Issues in the plugins documentation.

2 out of 10 seemed like a high enough percentage to me

Try adding the following to the “Additional headers” field of the form:

Sender: [email protected]
Reply-To: [your-name] <[your-email]>

where [email protected] is any email address that includes the domain name of your website and Reply-To is the same as From.

This will notify the recipient mail server that the email originated from your website on behalf of the sender. I wrote a blog post with more details about this solution.

As it turns out our host server is using Spamhaus to block hosted sites from spamming. It appears Spamhaus updated their filter programs sometime in the past couple of days.

We like wise updated WP to 3.9.1 and Contact Form 7 to 3.8.1 in the past couple of days. Obviously a lot going on.

Due to the number of File Copy Request we get and respond to daily the server we are on got caught in Spamhaus filters and all our outgoing email became blocked.

Thanks to everyone who posted comments because it was a our ability to read through and decipher the info posted that helped us resolve our problem.

We will definitely be a little more conservative about making to many updates/changes at one time.
