    I’m using Subscribe2 ver 10.12 on WP 3.9.1 and all plugins are fully up to date. This is an old setup which had many subscribe2 notifications sent successfully to a list of 400+ subscribers (the provider’s limit is 750). No recent setup changes and infrequent posting activity.

    Lately, notifications have not been sent (setup was for Digest, then changed for Each Post–not sending in both). When trying to send an email to subscribers today, after a very long time waiting for the process to complete, it resulted in a Page Not Found page loading error. On the other hand, test email was successfully sent and received.

    Yes, I’ve gone over the troubleshooting page and there are no conflicts that I can detect.

    Would greatly appreciate your help.

    In particular the email logging plugins provide useful assistance in finding out whether the email was generated and failed at sending or was simply not generated in the first place.

    Thanks for replying – much appreciated!

    Yes, I’ve seen the background material and have dealt with some of these issues in the past, always with your great help.

    This is different: I just posted a new post and it didn’t complete the upload to the cached environment (I’m using HyperCache, which has been terrific for a long time now); in other words, I could see the new post via the browser I’m logged into (not caching), but not on a browser I’m not logged into the site, as the public would (not) see it. What happens on the page-edit page is that the ball keep churning forever and there’s no upload completion, while the post itself is “posted” (visible when logged-in), the operations which should follow, stall and the entire Post/Update process isn’t completed.

    I tested this further as follows: I disabled the individual plugins (all up-to-date), one at a time, including HyperCache. Nothing. Until I disabled Subscribe2 and, vroom, the post completed loading in 2 seconds. So I think it’s clear Subscribe2 is unhappy about something, at least in my installation, and decided to stop the normal functioning of simple WP operations.

    Fortunately, as soon as I reactivated Subscribe2 it sent the notification, which is great, of course (I’m now set to use an individual notification per post).

    But something isn’t right… and I’m unable to figure it out on my own. Might not have a new post for some time, but hope you can look into this further, and issue a fix — THIS problem never happened before to me. Of course, I’d be happy to provide whatever additional information you might need.

    I’m not the developer of Subscribe2 anymore, continued development is being led by the folks at ReadyGraph.

    Your symptoms sound like a timeout issue in sending the emails though, in Subscribe2->Settings under the Email Settings tab, what setting do you have for the “number of recipients per email”?

    It’s set to 1, per your advice some time ago, and following the troubleshooting recommendation.

    Just to be clear, I did not activate the ReadyGraph component.

    Following up… I just installed ver. 10.13 which states in the update text the following changes:

    = 10.13 =

    * Uninstall Readygraph Option
    * Daily digest
    * Real time post update to all the subscribers

    I’m not sure where the “Uninstall Readygraph Option” can be found. Must be well hidden… ??

    Maybe uninstalling it would fix my problem? – on the principle of Lighter is Better… Would you be able to point me in the right direction?

    @jf,

    You could try increasing the value from 1 gradually as this will reduce the number of emails generated. You could also consider using a Mail Queue plugin so that the emails are rapidly stored for later sending over a period to limit the load on the server in terms of instant email sending.

    I’ve no idea where the new ReadyGraph changes are made, as I said above I’m not developing this code anymore. from a code review it seems you have to manually delete the files and if not present they are not used, but as I say I’m not 100% sure so proceed carefully and at your own risk.

    I’m well within the host’s limits (750 emails) and the server is working well: everything appears to be working just fine when the plugin is disabled, so I think this is not about the various systems’ ability to deploy 400+ emails. Rather, it’s probably the result of recent changes in the plugin — usually called “improvements,” which often are the opposite.

    Could you please direct me to a page where I can download version 9.5 that precedes ReadyGraph and, I hope, give me a clue how to install it over the latest (10.13) without losing my settings? (I have a CSV file copy of the subscribers)…

    Following up on my last post: I see that version 10.1 reverses the ReadyGraph introduced in version 10.

    Would version 10.1 be better to use than version 9.4 because it would include those non-ReadyGraph fixes that were introduced since version 9.4? And, is it completely free of all ReadyGraph code?

    Simply copy the new files to your server using FTP and none of your settings should be affected.

    The latest version of plugin do have delete readygraph option which will delete all the readygraph files and other function hooks.

    Thanks for your reply. As I indicated earlier (above) I installed ver. 10.13 but couldn’t find just where you put this “option” (which I read about in the version change report.

    Please tell me exactly where to find the function/buttons that delete these files.

    Go to readygraph-app page, on top right click the dropdown which says your email address, there is an option which says Delete Readygraph. Click and you are done.

    I’m looking at the ReadyGraph-app page and there’s nothing on top-right corner, no drop down… Or is this because I didn’t click on the Connect ReadyGraph button (which I’m not going to do, obviously)?

    If you guys want to keep those of us who are not interested in using ReadyGraph, you should make the ReadyGraph removal process entirely easy and simple. The moment you make us feel we must share with you our mailing lists… well, we’ll be out the door faster than you know.

    So, is there a way do to remove ReadyGraph without first connecting to it?
