Looks like Relevanssi is not seeing those testimonials in the first place. In Relevanssi settings (Settings > Relevanssi), see Indexing options > Choose post types to index:. Do you see “testimonials” or something like that in the list? If you see, make sure it’s checked and then click “Save the options” and “Build the index”. Does that help?

I have that set up already with everything selected, testimonials, recipes and re did it this morning and still nothing. If you search the name Shannon it should come up with a lot of results but it is only coming up with one. It is picking up on the recipes.

Any other suggestions

Is the “Respect exclude_from_search for custom post types” option in Relevanssi settings enabled? If it is, uncheck it. That might help.

Then I’m sorry, but I have no idea –?at least not without studying your site closer. It’s something in the way your search or the testimonial post type is set up. Which plugin are you using for the testimonials?

Thanks…..I am using Easy Testimonials. I have contacted them also but have not heard anything back yet.

I just tested this on my site, and if I make Relevanssi index the post type “testimonial” and rebuild the index, the testimonials show up in search results without problems.

I have done all you suggested and it is still not picking them up! I am at a loss……

If you uncheck the “testimonial” from the list of post types to index and rebuild the index, does the number of posts in the index (on top of the Relevanssi settings page) go down? If you then check the “testimonial” post type and rebuild the index, does it go up?

If this test does what is expected, then indexing the testimonials works and the problem is in the search.
