Not showing all media

Just recently WordPress isn’t showing all of my media, it shows 1-5 image with the text below the 5 images that states, “Showing 5 of 50 media items.” Ummmm WHY doesn’t WordPress show everything. If I click on the button below that says “Show More” it shows all of the images. What is going on?
If this was done on purpose by WordPress why? And when are we going to stand up to these WordPress developers destroying WordPress one updated at a time. Gutenberg, now the new Widget. It always blows my mind that people can’t just leave well enough alone.

Yes, this was done on purpose. I believe for accessibility reasons.
You have a couple options to re-enable it.
