    Hello Adrián,

Do you have any other plugins activated that would cause the IDs to not show up? We have tested the plugin by itself and we are able to see Tag IDs and well as Category IDs.

    Hi,

Where would the ID for a custom post type be displayed? Not sure where to look, since there is no list of post types anywhere in the admin dashboard.

    Thanks!

    Hello B Day,

Just like the a post you should see all the post types listed as menus on the left side panel. You will then see the ID when you view the table of all custom posts.

    Hi kjbenk,

Am working on a filter to add custom sidebar to a template used by my custom post type. I can locate 1) IDs for individual CPT posts and 2) Ids for the categories. Is there also an ID for the actual post type? I would think no, but here’s the input from the developer helping me do the customization:

Replace my-post-type with the ID of your custom post type

    Thanks!

A CPT does not have an ID but instead has a slug that you set via the register_post_type() function. In short, there is no way to show the IDs of post types, since the post type slug is the ID.

Below is a link to a generator.
