• Hi there,

    Helpful plugin guys. Thanks

I want your paid version, but I’m testing it first.
I have a problem when posting from “front-end posting plugins”. (I’ve tried with 2 if the problem continued happening)
What I see is that when doing it from WordPress regular way the: xyz_smap_insert_og value is= “0”.

When doing it with front-end plugins, the value is “1”

Not sure if this is the problem but I’ve done several tests and always is happening.

The result is that Facebook shows the space rectangle of the picture, but the picture is not there.

Is there a way to fix it?

    Thanks!

  • Hello,
xyz_smap_insert_og is assign to 1 for temporarily set the image of blog post as og:image(So that the crawler pick the correct image ) when you use the posting method share a link/attach blog post, that is not the problem here.
Could you please share the url of the post so that we can check it.
Or you can check how your content will appear in Open Graph Object Debugger .
    Hope it helps.

    Thanks!

I see that the tags on image says this:

    <meta property=”og:image” content=”” />

Is that a problem from the frontend posting plugin?

    Thanks

I tried deactivating your plugin… then using the front end posting plugin… then activating again your plugin… and then: “Enable auto publish post to my facebook account” and click Update. It worked (It showed the picture).

So, looks like the problem happens when your plugin is activated that it gives the error.

Is there a way to fix it?

    Thanks

This is what it says on the object debugger when your plugin is activated and posting from the frontend posting.

Parser Mismatched Metadata: The parser’s result for this metadata did not match the input metadata. Likely, this was caused by the data being ordered in an unexpected way, multiple values being given for a property only expecting a single value, or property values for a given property being mismatched. Here are the input properties that were not seen in the parsed result: ‘og:site_name, og:image:url’

Are you using the updated version of Social Media Auto Publish?
As i already said ,the plugin set the image from post as og:image only if the posting method is share a link/attach your blog post, and it sets only when it detect Facebook crawler .
The plugin is able to post if the post from front-end posting is available at the admin end.
Please share your site-url and the name of your front-end posting plugin so that we can check it for you.

    I used/try also this plugin:

Frontend Post WordPress Plugin – AccessPress Anonymous Post

    And it didn’t work.
Can you check there if it works with your plugin? It is free so you can test it.

We did checked it, AccessPress Anonymous Post successfully worked with Social Media Auto Publish. The Post Publish Status under the general settings were set to Draft, and added a page with the shortcode for front end posting.
After the submission ,from the admin side edited the front end submitted post and enabled auto publish to Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn.Then updated the post (hence changed the status to publish). All the posts were published to social media and Post Image were set as featured image appeared as thumbnail image on Facebook post.
If any doubts, please let us know.
    Thank you.
