in admin area it says WooCommerce Square: Your base country is TH, but Square can’t accept transactions from merchants outside of US, CA, GB, AU, JP, IE, FR, and ES.

    and

Heads up! Your store currency is GBP but your configured Square business location currency is EUR, so payments cannot be processed. Please choose a different business location or change your shop currency.

this makes it it does not show on checkout page while i checked with SQUARe if someone pays with GBP it will be converted to EUROS, so this should not be a problem at all, why make the limit make an option that we can ALWAYS accept square on checkout.

it says my base country is TH while i only logged in from thailand my square account is from spain! this are dumb issues that should be able to be disabled by us

  • Hi @catsman,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. I understand how important it is to have your payment gateway functioning correctly. From the details you’ve provided, it seems there are two main points we need to address:

    1. Base Country Mismatch: The message indicating that your base country is Thailand (TH) while your Square account is from Spain could be due to the location settings within your WooCommerce or Square account. Could you please confirm if the address in your WooCommerce settings is set to Spain? You can check this by going to WooCommerce > Settings > General and looking at the ‘Store Address’ section.
    2. Currency Mismatch: Regarding the currency, Square requires that the currency of the business location matches the currency set in your WooCommerce store. Even though Square can convert GBP to EUR, the WooCommerce Square extension needs to have matching currencies to process payments. To align the currencies, you can change your store currency to EUR by going to WooCommerce > Settings > General and selecting ‘Currency Options’.

If you’ve already checked these settings and they are correct, there might be a need to look into the configuration files or contact Square support to ensure your account settings are properly synced with WooCommerce.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

first one of country is fixed, still with currency as you said square can convert it to Euro, like this someone from the UK will never switch to Euro meaning i miss out on this payment option for my clients, my website support multi currency and are digital things like seo, website traffic etc.

so it does not really matter where they are, i just want these options available for my clients at all time, i just suggest to make an option where we can enable this

Unfortunately, the WooCommerce Square plugin does not have this feature built-in. Square and WooCommerce must be set to the same currency to use the gateway. More info: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/payment-settings/#section-1

However, It would be great to have you add your ideas as a feature request, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
