• Hello, we have enabled your plugin with the default options and no field is showing in the guest/registered checkout.

    Is something we are missing?

    EU/UK VAT for WooCommerce v2.12.14
    WooCommerce v9.3.3

    Thank you.

    Hi Daniel P,

I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for reaching out to us.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with the EU/UK VAT Manager for WooCommerce plugin. I tested the plugin on my end, and it appears to be functioning correctly. For your reference, here’s a video demonstrating its performance: Video Link.

I’ve also attached a screenshot of the settings I used. Please review it and apply the same settings to your site.

If the issue continues, I recommend the following steps:

    1. Update all plugins to their latest versions.
    2. Ensure your theme is updated to the latest version.
    3. Update WordPress to the latest version.
    4. Clear your cache.

If the problem persists after these steps, please test the plugin with the WooCommerce plugin and the default WordPress theme. Let me know if this resolves the issue, as it may be a conflict with another plugin.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you and best regards,

    WPFactory Support Team

    Hello @abdhindi97

The video you’ve sent seems that it does not use the block based checkout. Can you please confirm that?

    Thank you.

    Hi Daniel,

You are correct; the previous video did not include a checkout page based on blocks.

I have created checkout using blocks, which you can view here: Watch the video.

It works ,Are you still experiencing the issue?

    Best regards,

@abdhindi97 the field appears, the problem is that when the VAT is validated, it doesn’t update the order summary and the VAT is still appearing.

    Hi Daniel P.,

I hope you’re doing well. Thank you for reaching out to us.

I reviewed the video you provided (https://files.fm/u/qsesfrz4pe) and attempted to replicate the issue, but I wasn’t able to reproduce it on my end. This may indicate a conflict with another plugin or theme.

Could you please try using the plugin with the default WordPress theme and only the WooCommerce plugin activated? Let me know if this resolves the issue. If it does, we can confirm that it’s a conflict.

If the problem persists, please ensure that your WordPress plugins are updated to the latest version. Should the issue continue after these steps, I will escalate your ticket to our development team for further assistance.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello @abdhindi97 I will test again today and let you know.

@abdhindi97 Just checked with the same VAT you are checking and it works! Also now with my VAT. I’ll keep testing.

Is there a way to show the VAT field below the “Company” in the billing fields and not at the top of the page… This will add order to the checkout. We can’t ask for a VAT field for people that does not know what it is at the very first of the checkout. This will make many people to abandon the checkout and conversions to fail.

    Thank you.

@abdhindi97 as you can also see in the screenshot https://prnt.sc/b9ZkL5h_SieC there’s something wrong in the shipping summary “{billing_eu_vat_number}” MUST NOT BE THERE. As this will confuse users.

    Hi Daniel,

    I hope you’re doing well.?

Regarding the placement of the VAT field below the “Company” field, you can adjust this by navigating to:

WooCommerce > Settings > EU VAT > General > Field Options->Priority (i.e. position) Then, try change the Priority number to 40.

Please note that this change may not take effect if your checkout page is built based on blocks.

As for your question about the {billing_eu_vat_number} appearing in the shipping summary, I will forward your inquiries to the development team for further assistance.

    Thank you for your time.

Hi @abdhindi97 as you see on the ticket title, this is for Block Based Checkout.

We need a way to show this field under company name, as this is regarding to the company and billing details. Having it on top of the page is confusing for customers that dot have or use a VAT number.

    Thank you.

I can see the whole conversation.

    Hi @danidub,

Sorry to inform you that currently, it is not possible to control the placement of the EU VAT Number field in the block-based checkout. However, if you wish to move the field, you can use the shortcode checkout instead of the block checkout.

Regarding the placeholder text “{billing_eu_vat_number}” showing up in the collapsed Shipping and Billing sections, we’ve removed that shortcode. It’s currently not compatible with the block checkout. We will add it when WooCommerce fully supports it.

    Thank you.
