• Hi,
A few months back I moved to a selfhosted site from wordpress.com. [https://wordsandnotion.com/]. And I have connected my site to wordpress via jetpack pluggin. But my site is not appearing in the wordpress reader under followed Sites [I am following my own site]. And I am getting query from most of my existing followers regarding the same as they are also not able to see my posts in their wordpress reader after moving to a self hosted site.
And I am having a considerable reduction in my traffic after self hosting.
I am eagerly waiting for your support.

Kindly help to rectify this reader issue
    Thanks

  • Hi @akhilaek,

In the Jetpack plug-in you need to enable the ‘Subscribe Module’.
If you use a standalone WordPress it is not automatically sending feed to the WordPress Reader. Therefore you need to connect an RSS feed or use the Subscribe Module via JetPack.

    Hi,
Apologies for the late reply [ I was down with some health issues].
In fact I am already using the subscription module. But still the posts are not appearing in the wordpress reader. Kindly advise

Hey Akhila, the self-hosted sites won’t show up on WordPress readers unless you go for the paid JetPack plans. And even after paying it takes something like 5 hours on average to show up in your followers feed. Also with the free plans, people cant search for tags and get to your feeds. There is no discovery unless you pay. The only thing people can do is search for your site on the search option and then they will find your posts.
