• This review only covers the free version of WP EC!

I tried to use WP EC but found, to me, a very fundamental issue. To show the calendar with the week starting on Sunday I had to pay for this most basic of features. Other tools I have looked at use the WP week start date, Monday OR Sunday. Not this product – have to pay for it – REAL issue with this.

Another issue was that somewhere around 8PM to 10PM every day the date would change to the next day. I.E. If the date was 8-SEP it would show 9-SEP as the current date. Could not find a fix for this so contacted support. First thing they asked was to send them my admin login info – that will NEVER happen!

The free product seemed to be okay, looked okay, events – easily added, easy to get full page calendar and calendar widget. However, the ability to configure the calendars, change CSS, change themes, etc. very limited compared to other products.

But because of the three issues mentioned (I am sure there are other issues) above I feel that it is not worth more than 2 stars. I not only deactivated the plugin but uninstalled it as well and do not plan on using it again!

    Dear Ken,

Most of our customers are from Europe and the start date of Monday works for theme. As for the timing issue, then it is related to the server. The calendar uses the server timing thus if you have different time zones the issue will occur. And finally the styling is the only difference (Themes section) between the Pro and free versions, thus this option could not make it to the free version. Thank you.
