Not Supporting Themes and Plugins

    I having hosting service on resellerclub.com, they are providing 2.0.4 wordpress installation as default. but problem facing is, after installation i’m unable to add news themes or plugins. after uploading themes and plugins to server, tried to change to new themes through wordpress admin panel then page moving to dead page. only working with default theme.

    wordpress page getting below error
    HTTP 500 – Internal server error
    Internet Explorer

    I repeated same many times with around 10-15 different themes, but getting same error, out of many themes one theme working but problem with that also plugins are not showing in the blog.

    So anyone can provide support, I’m thankful.

    thats all well and fine, except that 2.0.4 is insecure and shouldnt be used.

    youre also probably running into compatability issues with themes and plugins.

    in a nutshell:

    its OLD.

    you want to use new themes and plugins, you want to NOT get hacked, then you upgrade any 2.0.4 blog to 2.7.1

    or you ‘man up’ and move away from an automatic installer, and just install 2.7.1 straight away.

    Thanks for the support, i had updated wordpress to 2.7.1, now problem is sloved and i’m able to add themes and plugins.

    but currently i’m unable to make new post, when clicking on new post through admin panel, a post-new.php file opening on popup window on netscape/getting error message on IE.

    Need any kind of further updats on 2.7.1 version to making it working normal.
