• After reading the Grant Norwood 1 star review, I was wondering if it’s safe to download this plugin or not.
The moderation should let the plugin author reply and explain, so everybody like myself, who read it and it’s a bit confused, to trust on this. On the other hand, I believe if WP repository staff test this to let be here safer to everyone.

An enlightening on this about WP staff would be nice.
    Thanks.

I’m sure the plugin has been tested before it was released into the www.ads-software.com plugin repository. All plugins have to go through review by the Plugin Review team before they’re available on www.ads-software.com.

Yes, I’ve installed anyway to give it a shot and will update the rating accordingly.

A review really isn’t the best place to talk about this but here goes.

After reading the Grant Norwood 1 star review, I was wondering if it’s safe to download this plugin or not.

@andrealves The plugins in the repository is safe to use though sometimes the author’s react poorly to comments and reviews.

When a plugin does something out of bounds then users complain and that percolates to the plugins team to look.

On the other hand, I believe if WP repository staff test this to let be here safer to everyone.

They do not test plugins exactly. When a plugin is submitted then the code is examined and I believe that the plugin is installed. But there are a lot of plugins and there’s no practical way to QA and unit test all plugin submissions.

Once a plugin is accepted then authors are permitted to make updates to their code without review. 99.999% of the time that’s fine. If an author updates a plugin with something that violates the plugin guidelines then that plugin is suspended from the repository and the author is given a chance to fix it.

Once the fix is verified the plugin gets restored. If it happens repeatedly and the author doesn’t take the nice hint then the author and the plugins are banned for life.

    *Drinks coffee*

Fortunately that doesn’t happen very often. ?? The authors tend to be a reasonable group of people. I mean, they’re giving up their time to share and support a plugin so they already want to be good community members.

sLaNGjIs Team do not provide support on www.ads-software.com forum and reviews system!

Dear user of plugins or themes:

sLaNGjIs Team has started adventure on www.ads-software.com forum since 2007: 8 years ago!

Everything was very different from today: the plugins and themes developed by us were much less, and also the users who used it.

The traffic generated by users of the www.ads-software.com forum has increased exponentially, and in the same way also the requests for assistance have increased exponentially.

In the near future this increase will be even more pronounced, as a result of the great success of WordPress.

By contrast, both the posts and threads definable “requests” and those definable “trash” are very difficult to finding and follow: the time necessary for this purpose, now, longer a nightmare that one added value service, real.

With the passage of time, the problems of this type of assistance have been deemed ineffective by more and more developers excellent, while the tools available for this workload considered insufficient or inadequate to many of them.

Many of these developers have already abandoned this platform of assistance by providing other methods of customer care.

Our team has tried to respond to all for seven long years, and maintained the support forums for plugins and themes developed always clean, neat, and clear.

Failing to provide a service that gives us satisfaction, through the instruments of www.ads-software.com forum, as of today August 15, 2014 we abandon the active support with this type of structure, started since August 7, 2007 to try to give one type of service more personalized, and targeted, to requests of users.

    Please note that:
    – We are not interested in reviews on our plugins and themes.
    – Do not write anything like that!
    – We are not interested in stars on our plugins and themes.
    – Do not make any in that sections!

Generally we’re not interested to be informed if you like our plugins and themes, or if you use them successfully through the instruments of the www.ads-software.com forums and reviews system!

Remember to keep proper behavior on the www.ads-software.com forum, under the rules, respect all their moderators, and its users: this team do not supporting anymore www.ads-software.com forum, and the possibility that some of us then reply or write on www.ads-software.com forum, will be very low!

It is evident that the reviews are a very dangerous, difficult to control by the moderators, that reflects and identifies only spam.
