I’m not sure what to call it…

You can see that on both sides of my header image there is a vertical bar that is darker than the rest of the background. This is the kubrik theme so it might be easy for someone to point me in the right direction to get rid of that bar?

It happened when I increased the width of the page slightly to accomodate the search box in the sidebar…

Only thing I can tell you about kubrick: it’s all based on graphics and therefore tweaking things like width isn’t as simple as you think.

Take a look at the themes at https://themes.wordpress.net – pick something that’s laid out the way you want, then change colors and graphics to suit. Guaranteed to be less stressful overall.

Thanks, I hope that isn’t the only soultion…I would like to simply (seems simple but I can’t find it) get rid of the darker grey bars…

Anyone know the hex color number to match the lighter grey background?

Normally, yes, but since the OP messed around with the theme – the struggle is with the headerimg div’s bg colour.
