• Sorry for the question but I am unsure if I enable blocking for the backend and what that will do? I am using WordFence as well but I am still seeing blocked by firewall for WordPress New Install File Probing issues. The only extra thing I added was to block all countries except for Australia. Should I be adding more to the settings. Thanks

    Please enable the “Debugging Log” option on the plugin settings page. Then, run some tests.

    Then, check back the “debug_xxxx.log” located in the plugin folder for client IP & action captured for details.

    Also, please ensure you have disabled all cache modules.

    Please let some visits to your page, then view the debug log if their location detected correctly and the action is taken as expected.

    Hi the the ip addresses don’t match the ones that WordFence say.
    An example from the log below, some it has cache true and others say ABORT

    {“time”:”2025-02-10 11:14:39″,”client_ip”:”13.79.243.207″,”country”:”IE”,”is_proxy”:””,”proxy_type”:””,”lookup_by”:”BIN”,”cache”:false,”uri”:”….\/class-controller-theme-comment.php”,”message”:”Country not in the list.”,”action”:”BLOCKED”}

    The IP should be correct. It’s detected as IE which is not in your list, so it gets blocked.
