    Hello everyone,

I have just started working on my first website ever and decided to use wordpress.

I finally got things rolling and logged into wordpress through my site and was working on changing some setting etc.

Now, when I type in my site adress, it takes me to the index.

I then have to click on my user name (william) in order to see anything… and what I do see is broken / won’t let me log in.

    2 questions:

    1. how do i make the index not show up when going someone goes to my site?

    2. how do i fix my site so that I can actually login?

  • Where did you install WordPress on your site? It’s not in your root domain.

I must have messed something up, I removed the directories of my user name and the other one, thinking that I could just clear them.

but now there is nothing on the server side of filezilla, so I don’t know where to put wordpress again.

    fixed!

thank you fantastico, I only wish I knew about you sooner.

Contact your hosts. They may need to re-create some of the folders on your domain.
