    Hello ,
I have a problem with the addon .
At woo , in product feed summary, it says Active 0 Not synced, 47 .
At the bottom that has all the products , every single product is not synced. But visibility sync and show.

At merchant center it says 614 total products that they are approved and 5 not showing.

How can i sync woo product feed with merchant center to say the same things?
I dont know for sure if my products , are syncing and if they are indeed showing in search results. It is so inconsistent .
    i will attach photos.

    Hi there @alprio,

I understand that your products are not synced.

Could you confirm that you have set up all the requirements as stated in this document:?https://woocommerce.com/document/google-listings-and-ads/#general-requirements?

Also, please note that it would take a day or two for the products to complete syncing and the status to change.

    Let me know about this!

    Hello ,
    Thanks for the reply.
The problem was , a function that I added , that removes the _gla from product id.
I followed the url example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page to remove all the products and then resync them , but it didn’t work and i waited 3 days.
Right now it works , but with _gla function removed.
Does the _gla removal helps anywhere else , except the checkout option ?

    Thanks.

    Hello @alprio,

The _gla function is used to identify products that are synced with Google Merchant Center. If you want to remove it, you can use this code snippet: https://woo.com/document/google-listings-and-ads/faqs/#section-12

Please note that the _gla function is not just limited to the checkout option; it plays a vital role in the overall functioning of the plugin, including product syncing, product visibility, and tracking.

If you’re still facing syncing issues, I suggest you to follow this steps:

Next, go to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and set up the connection again.

Let us know how it goes!

    hello,

I used the same code snippet , i removed all the products from the admin url your provided , i pressed, disconnect Google account. Then I reconnected , resynced all the products and I was getting 0 active products from the 1st post.

I don’t use jet pack , so I didn’t pressed that button. Is it crucial. ?

Then I removed the code snippet , and everything was working again.
what do you suggest ? For better performance and reliability ?

is it better to not use the code snippet ?

what’s the purpose of that function? Except the checkout option and the removal of _gla?

    thanks.

    Hi @alprio,

If you’re not using Jetpack, that’s fine. It’s not required for the functioning of the Google Listings and Ads plugin.

The _gla function helps in syncing your WooCommerce products with the Google Merchant Center. This function is not limited to checkout options but also plays a crucial role in product syncing, visibility, and tracking.

You can safely use this code snippet. But remember, once you remove the _gla prefix, you’ll need to delete all the product MC center and then resync them all.

You need to delete the old synced products because after removing the _gla prefix, all the products get a different ID means a new product.

To do so, go to the test connection page, scroll to the bottom of the page, Under “Product Sync” click?Delete All Synced Products from Google Merchant Center?and allow a few minutes for all existing products to be removed from GMC. After that, you need to click on “Sync All Products:”. This will ensure that products synced afterwards don’t have the gla_ prefix.

Furthermore, for better performance and reliability, I would suggest keeping your plugins and WooCommerce up to date. Also, regularly check your Google Merchant Center account for any issues or notifications.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you ,I will leave it as is without the snippet code.

    One last question.
I changed the store name and I had to resync the products.
After that , I lost the reviews from Google under my products.
will the reviews sync back again ?

    Hello @alprio,

When you change your store name and resync the products, the reviews should ideally sync back. However, it can take some time for Google to process the changes and display the reviews again.

Please remember that Google manages the reviews, not directly by WooCommerce or our Google Listings and Ads plugin. Therefore, Google’s system controls the exact timing of when the reviews will reappear.

If the reviews do not appear after a reasonable amount of time, I recommend contacting Google Merchant Center support for further assistance.

I hope this information helps. Please feel free to ask if you have any other questions or concerns.
