Not very noob-friendly
-
Am contacting their tech support again, and don’t know if it’s just me, or if the documentation for NexGENPro is just spotty and not very comprehensive, but unless you’re pretty damn handy with all the ins and outs of WordPress & CSS and code, you may want to shop around for a more easy to use image plug-in. I guess the plug-in is good if you’re a tech-head, but not for someone who just wants to get some images up on their site without a lot of fuss. Doing a simple thing like adding captions is not even easy…and when you do you enable captions then the title of the image will also appear, and you have to go in and do a custom CSS to have just the caption display…what the hell?? And even then it’s not centred top to bottom in the black strip in which it appears. Why isn’t the default just the caption, centred? That would be the logical thing. Tech support are indeed helpful, and respond fast, no complaints in that regard, but the responses, unless you’re coding-savvy, are hard-to-understand jargon. For example: “Please keep in mind the specificity of the CSS being used as the above snippet I offered would affect far more than just the Pro Horizontal Filmstrip if it was designated in the definition” What??
