• It took me longer to create a table using TablePress than it did using the default WordPress feature. Additionally, I could not easily discover how to change the color of the cell, background, or text. All of these were easy to do in WordPress, but not to the extent I wanted. I suppose I’ll have to keep searching.

    Hi @das-capitolin,

thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it!

I’m not really sure what you mean with “it took long”. There’s only a few steps involved: Adding or importing a new table, filling it with data, and adding the Shortcode to a post or page. Which step would you like to get rid of?

You are right about the colors though: This is not possible via a user interface at this time, as I believe that using CSS code is more flexible and brings more performance in the end. Some examples are in the TablePress FAQ at https://tablepress.org/faq/

And you claim that TablePress is not “feature rich”. It would be great if you could share which features you are missing! Maybe I can give ideas or add these in the future!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

It might be better for you to see what your competition is doing (right), rather than mis-quoting me. I suggest starting with WP Table Builder, as it is very user-friendly and feature rich.

    Hi Das,

    thanks for your reply!

I certainly didn’t mean to mis-quote you, and I’m not sure where I did. All I was trying to do was get more specific details for your feedback, so that I can maybe make TablePress better in the future.

The most important thing for me is that every user finds a solution that suits his needs, and that seems to be the case for you, so that’s great! WP Table Builder indeed looks promising and seems to have made great progress since I last had a look at it.

    All the best!
    Tobias
