Not work on Posts (but is on pages)

    I updated WordPress today and now the sidebars do not work correctly. They had been working fine for a long time.

    On my site (https://kiddiessupportscheme.org/) there are some pages which use a custom side bar (Shop / Latest News / Contact Us) and they all work fine. I have them set up to display a custom sidebar on the actual edit page.

    For my Posts they are set up to display a different sidebar depending on the category I give them. This used to work fine. Now no sidebar displays at all. I tried setting a sidebar on the post page itself (like with my pages) but this made no difference.

    Any advice welcome!

    How are you doing today?

    I’ve checked your site and I can see the issue, for some reason sidebar is not being called on the posts as I can not see it in the page HTML.

    Do you remember what is the last thing you did when this started happening?

    Is this happening on all post pages? Could you post screenshots of the settings used in order to display sidebar on different category posts so I can try to test this on my end?

    Hi Bojan,
    Thanks for getting back to me. I think it happened when I updated WordPress to the latest version but I could be wrong. I only noticed it then (I don’t check this site that often).

    And if you go onto any post with the category “news”, you will notice that there is no sidebar.

    The exact same thing happens on all other posts marked with category photos. It only actually works on pages.

    Hey nutman,

    I’m not sure if this is related to the latest WordPress update, I’ve been testing the plugin on my sandbox site and I’ve run into similar issues. Some of the sidebars were stuck regardless of rules being removed so they didn’t display any sidebar.

    Our developer is working on update which should fix this where we will be able to dump all replacement rules so we can start again, we’re still testing it so I’ll let you know when we release it ??
