Try some other like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/swifty-image-widget/ ,it should def. appear. If it doesnt, its the issue with theme.

As for a clue of how it should show in the dashboard- once the plugin has been activated, then it should show under:
Appearance -> Widgets -> Image Widget

I’ve found that Image Widget Deluxe works well

There is not plugin configuration page. I’m not sure how I could help on this one.
