the css file is not being loaded, in fact no css stylesheets are being loaded from your plugins folder, only your theme folder css are being loaded. I suspect there is an error on your server that prevents these files from being loaded properly.

indeed, a form submission does not require js or css files.

as I said, your css files are missing on your page. This is an issue with your server configuration I reckon. The plugin works fine on my test server.

Indeed you can use limited functionality from the Smart grid in a normal CF7 designed form such select2 dropdowns and dynamic list fields.

however, if you need grid layout design, this requires HTML markup and CSS that only the Smart grid designed form can create. For the plugin to distinguish between a simple CF7 plugin form and an advanced Smart grid form you need to use the smart grid shortcode provided.
