Not working after install

    I have installed the latest version of Advanced Access Manager on a new website and when I go to the AAM control panel I get a window without any option in it (see https://216.55.141.147/images/aam.png).

    * This is a new install of AAM, not an upgrade.
    * I tried this with the theme The7 as well as the 2013 default theme and some other’s that I tried off the web with no success with any of them
    * I viewed the source and the Javascript aam.js is included and is at the location where it is referenced.
    * At this point I don’t have any other plugins installed on the site
    * In addition to installing the plugin through wordpresses add plugins page, I have downloaded the plugin and manually installed it and that didn’t work either.

    There might be few reasons. Are you using HTTP or HTTPS? What is your website language? Is there any javascript error on your website?

    Hi Vasyl,

    It is a http connection, website is in English, 1 Javascript error which is “event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.”

    Hi Anthony,
    Try to fix the javascript error. Deactivate your plugins and find out which one causes this issue.

    Yours is the only plugin I have installed. I went ahead and deactivated it but still get the error. It seems to be a wordpress deprecated issue as I checked a few of my other sites (including one where your access manager is running already) and get the same javascript error.

    I’m not sure that this is true. It might be a case that your theme triggers this error. You can send us your credentials to website and I’ll go and check it.

    Hi Vasyl,

    I was just about to send you an email when I decided to try one more thing and it did work. So I am good on this side now.

    For anyone else who is having the same problem, I installed WordPress under PHP 5.4.16. I switched the PHP version the site was running under to 5.3.3 and it make the access control work. Switched back to 5.4.16 and it stopped working, and back to 5.3.3 and it started working again.
