    Hi,

I’m currently developing a simple WordPress site and was developing the site on my own server.

The site is now ready to move to production so I used the popular Duplicator plugin to migrate hosts.

Unfortunately, Simple Lightbox has now stopped working. I’ve checked for conflicts by switching to the TwentyTwelve theme and disabling all other plugins, but to no avail.

I’ve also tried deleting & reinstalling the SLB plugin.

It looks as though the plugin is getting activated properly, but just doesn’t show when clicking an image.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Dave

Fixed! I was using .htaccess/.htpasswd to hide the site while still developing. This caused the lightbox to stop working.

I just had the same problem , i have .htaccess locked down to my IP during development , I would never have worked it out if it wasn’t for the post above.

I can’t see the connection ???? all other plugins function perfectly.

why doesn’t this plugin work if my .htaccess is locked down to my IP ?

The plugin uses CURL to request the images so therefore requires access. I suspect you could add some HTACCESS to allow requests from localhost/127.0.0.1 in your situation.

Hi, yes HTACCESS will block certain file requests that SLB requires.

Glad you were able to resolve the issue.
