Not working after update

Interestingly, the subscription works fine on the test site, even though it’s an exact copy of my live site.

That’s a bit of a head scratcher with your subscription plugin not working after the 4.4.1 update; I can’t think of anything we changed in that version that would have impacted subscriptions. Regardless, let’s try to get to the bottom of the issue. A couple of questions for you:

• You mentioned making a copy and it works fine, is the copy with all plugins/theme?
• When you’re testing the subscription, you’re just referring to opting into the newsletter and your Audience in Mailchimp, correct? You’re not referring to an another recurring monthly subscription plugin, correct?
• What is the user level access with the email you’re testing?
• Are the orders marked as completed inside WooCommerce?

• You mentioned making a copy and it works fine, is the copy with all plugins/theme? – Yes, it’s an exact copy, and everything is set up the same, which is very strange. I hired support from WPfixit and discussed it with hosting support, but nobody knows what could be wrong.

• What is the user level access with the email you’re testing? – Visitor/no wp role
• Are the orders marked as?completed?inside WooCommerce? – Some orders are marked as completed, and some are processing. Previously, when everything was working fine, users could subscribe to the newsletter even when the order status was set to processing. However, now, even when the order is marked as completed, users are not being subscribed.
  
  I tried disabling all plugins except Mailchimp and WooCommerce, but the issue still persists. Tomorrow, I’ll try disabling the template as well and will let you know.

So, I changed the theme to the default Storefront and disabled all plugins except Mailchimp and WooCommerce, and it’s still not working.

@jami23 just to clarify, when you say “subscriptions”, are you referring to the Mailchimp subscriptions of the users, or are you referring to a “subscription plugin” that you’re using? I’m reading this as you’re asking about the Mailchimp subscriptions.

If this is correct, and by looking at your action scheduler logs, it would seem as if you have a problem with the “scheduled actions” actually running. Do you know if you have WPCRON enabled on this server? Is there anything preventing your scheduled actions from running?

You may need to talk with your host because this reads as if nothing is being processed after being “added to the queue”.

Can you please check into your FATAL logs to see if anything stands out as a problem related to this?

Can you also please have your host validate that your action scheduler is actually able to process items in the queue?

Thank you for your help. I was completely missing the Action Scheduler database. Not sure how this could happen, but I was able to fix it. Thank you very much!

Great to hear – that’s a new one but I’m glad you said something because this could be a reason as to why other folks have a problem sometimes. We’ll have to put this one in the back pocket to double check too ??
