NOT WORKING – Always gets an error

  • I always get this error: fsockopen(): Unable to connect to whois.crsnic.net:43 (Cannot assign requested address)

    Tried to contact the Sharedhosting but they won’t open this port. Why does this plugin need to configure the server? Completely not working.

    For communication with a whois server port 43 is a basic requirement, for nearly all whois domain check tools.
    This is a problem of the hosting, but not of the plugin.

    Though it doesn’t work with most TLDs, but it works fine with common TLDs like .com, .org or .net. For example, try .ng or something similar, it won’t work. But, try .com it will work ??

    Ask your hosting provider, maybe the non common TLDs were blocked through security reasons or something.
