Not Working | Object Cache: Not Available

wp object-cache.php drop-in file should exist in the wp-content directory. Go to the Overview page; all the information you will find there, whether the drop-in file is installed or not.

Cronbot service works as is. No gurantee it will works.

Nope, still not working. The object-cache.php file is inside our wp-config.php folder. Still getting the same messages as noted above. Yes, we disabled all other plugins. Still, no dice.

Perhaps your plugin is not compatible with SiteGround or their PHP set-up. Your plugin’s requirements calls for having ZEND OPCache installed, we have opcache. Could this be part of the problem?

So sorry, previously I didn’t see the image from the link. It’s like no cache file has been created.

Please check if the wp-content/.object-cache-delay.txt file exists. If yes, remove it. It is supposed to be automatically removed after activating Docket Cache.

Object cache should work with or without OPcache. Having an opcache will improve performance by taking advantage of the in-memory cache. Seems Docket Cache can’t detect OPcache, mostly is caused by PHP settings.

1. Yes, the .txt file is not present.

Before we reach out to our host … we noticed the ZEND OPCache field in the Overview tab is blank. When connected, what is this field supposed to display?

Also, below please find the PHP ZEND OPCache directives echoed by our host. Are they correct? If not, what needs to change?

We decided not to pursue this plugin any further. Does not work for us. Instead, we opted for Object Cache 4 Everyone. Works like a charm.

You’re using PHP 8.4, and I believe the code has some errors since it’s not tested with PHP 8.4.

No worries! It happens. You have 10,000+ five-star happy customers, so the issue is definitely not your plugin. Meanwhile, you should consider developing a Memcached (Object Cache) plugin (with an integrated WP Admin Dashboard widget) using the beautiful interface this plugin has.

Note: We tested your plugin with PHP 7.4.X all the way up to PHP 8.4.0. Still, couldn’t get it to work.
