Not working on alot of sections

Hello First I want to say I love this plugin I think you guys are amazing.
I am running this on Wp Theme:iMagMag (seen here – https://www.ads-software.com/themes/imag-mag)
I am trying to change the color of the menu and its not working. (seen here – https://gyazo.com/51863e0bd94b716f6379d1c57be269ff )
As you see I have the background or color of the menu items to green and yellow and their not changing their still black.
Plus I have tried many other color changes and none of them seem to work the only one that works is the color change for the entire site background. Nothing else works and I mean nothing else lol. Would really like some assistance with this fantastic plugin.
