• Just to say first I like this plugin a lot, after switching from another one I was using for the same purposes…

On the BB Press Forum main page, several widgets that are set to show on different single pages but not on the forum ARE showing up…

On individual forum pages two widgets specific for recent topics and recent replies, though set for the forum and showing on the forum main page, are NOT showing up…. And What is more curious yet, the fore-mentioned pages that are set to not show on the forum but are showing on the forum main page, are not showing on the individual forums pages (which is good)…

It is confusing… To get the forums recent topics and recent replies widgets to show on the forums individual pages I must turn off conditional widgets on those widgets… But then this makes the recent topics and replies widgets show up on all of my site’s pages…

I may have to give up on this plugin though I really like it, if there is not a solution or workaround for this…?

    Kind regards…

It occurs to me to add to what I wrote above that I am using this plugin on another site with a lot of different sidebar widget instances and several different sidebar configurations, and it is working perfectly… The main backend difference between the two is that that site does not have bbPress installed… Same theme, and mostly the same plugins…

I’m guessing that the BB Press Forum ‘pages’ aren’t actually pages, but rather, are some other kind of custom post type or custom post type archive – which would explain all of your widgets showing up here, as Conditional Widgets doesn’t currently support additional custom post types.

You might want to try Widget Logic for your more advanced use case.

(That being said, I’m toying with adding support for additional types/taxonomies at the moment, so a future version of Conditional Widgets _might_ serve your needs.)

This makes sense, and I’ll watch for future versions.. And thanks for getting back…
