Not working on internet explorer

I am using Blanc 2.0.3 on my website and there appears to be a problem with on internet explorer 9?

My website is multi site and on the sites top left corner the following code appears “<!–[if lt IE9]> <![endif]–> <!–[if lt IE8]> <![endif]–>”

Has anyone else had this issue? any advice would be great!
