• Hi,

Did something change on the ability to have Tippy work on multisite?
Until recently Tippy was working fine on my multisite installations.

While it is still network activate, it no longer shows on the “installed plugins” lists, with exception for the network admin dashboard.

If I need to buy a paid version to get this to work again please let me know.

    Thanks.

    Have a nice day.

Strange, I’ll check on that. I’ve never tested Tippy on a multisite install but I don’t know why it wouldn’t work.

    Hi,

I found out that it has to do with the upgrade to the newest version.
Today I upgraded it on one of my sites and this triggered 2 errors.

I never had this with any other plugin or theme update.
The plugin now no longer works.

How can I revert back to the previous version without losing all my settings?

Do you have a commercial version available for purchase?

    Thank you.

There is no commercial version, but I’ll take a look tonight and see if I can figure out the multisite issue.

On your error: that’s not something that Tippy would generate. It sounds like it hit a problem while updating. Tippy shouldn’t interfere with that at all.

I’ve just set up a small multisite install and tested out Tippy and didn’t see any issues. This is my first time to even touch multisite so there may be significant differences with the different setups, but I don’t see any reason why Tippy wouldn’t work on any given setup and don’t know why it would have any trouble with multisite. It certainly wouldn’t cause an issue when upgrading WordPress, which is what your error is showing.

As for going back a version, do you mean with Tippy or with WordPress? It is possible to downgrade either one, but going back with WordPress is difficult, especially if it’s already upgraded your database.

Thank you for the quick reply.
Tippy worked fine with multisites until I tried to upgrade. So I guess that it now doesn’t work due to the error I got the upgrade not installed as should.

The WP upgrades all go well on all sites but I had an issue with upgrading twenty eleven theme. That gives me a similar error.

I’m in contact with our host over this, his first guess is that it’s maybe a firewall issue.

I would like to go back to the previous version of Tippy. It’s not such a big deal to remove it and redo the settings after reinstall, but we have several multisite installations so it would be nice if I can avoid that.

On another note: My business partner contacted you yesterday on your site for a php coder job. Could you let us know if you’re interested or not? We need custom plugins for pop up and sliders too. We always prefer to pay for a great plugin than to go with free stuff.
    Thank you.

You can access all previous versions of Tippy through the WordPress repository. We’re on 6.2 now, are you looking for the last one in the 5.x series? The link is https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/tippy.5.3.2.zip you can find links to all other versions at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tippy/developers/

On your message, I’m afraid it didn’t come through. I use the Contact Form 7 plugin for the contact page and several people have been having trouble with that plugin lately, I need to find a workaround for the problem. In the meantime, you can email me directly at [email protected]

    Hi Chris,

I think we had a version 6.(?) but I’ll take a look at your url.

I installed the newest version on another site, no problem there. Installed Glossy too, didn’t have the time yet to figure out how that works.

My partner Ian mailed you 2 days ago (subject: job offer, coming from managers@our domain)
Waiting your reply. If you’re not interested can you let us know. We need to find a coder but don’t want to contact more than one person at a time.

    Thanks.
