• Dear,

I use this Plugin perfectly on most sites I setup/use…

recently I moved one site from localhost to online, changed everthing to make everything works with the new domain, everything works except this plugin..

I tried everything, I even clean installed a new WP installation in the same domain ( just with different path ), but still not working, clicking the change to English link do nothing at all, while the exact same configuration on localhost works perfectly !!

I even tried to manually edit the cookie after comparing it to the localhost installation, but still not working

    Hey alkhalaf,

Let’s try to get this sorted!

Did you happen to change the WordPress salts (These settings in your wp-config.php: https://api.www.ads-software.com/secret-key/1.1/salt/ )
If you did, the old cookie will no longer be valid.

To diagnose this further, what is the name of the following cookies on the site you migrated from localhost to online:
    wordpress_logged_in_X
    wordpress_admin_default_language_X

(Please fill in the X with your value)

    Hi,

I didn’t change the salts at all.. and I even tried it on a clean installed one

The one in the localhost is
    c6fb9fcbf520330ea707d3028cf8c873

The one in the online host is
    d418ef0c81867bcda51086dd90397645

Both has these cookies and the “wordpress_admin_default_language_X” value on both sites is 1

I looked into this and the COOKIEHASH constant used does change based on the site URL, so that’s normal.

Do you use some sort of web application firewall, Cloudflare or similar? Those could possibly be stripping the cookie.

Also, make sure the domain for the cookie is set correctly. (Should show up when you inspect the cookie in your web browser.)

I don’t use any firewall, and the domain is set correctly in both locations

Currently I used another plugin which worked fine but it’s functionality is different ( per user settings for the whole WP not just admin ) which is not what I want…
