Not working properly in theme i’m building

    Hi,

    I am building a custom wordpress theme and trying to to use The Events Calendar.

    I created a page.php similar to twentyseventeen. The calendar shows but doesn’t work that well. The date picker to the right doesn’t work and when I resize the browser, the days of the week still show full(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) instead of Mon, Tue, Wed like in the demo and they start to overlap each other.

    Also, the event details don’t get shown in the mobile version.

    I added wp_head() in my header.php, wp_footer() in footer.php and <?php body_class(); ?> in the body tag thinking that this might be the problem. But it didn’t solve it.

    The plugin works perfectly if I change the theme to – twentyseventeen. Could you please advice me on what I might be missing in my theme files that twentyseventeen has?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Unfortunately, we don’t provide support for theme customization here. However I would try changing the default template under Events → Settings → Display to default events template.

    Other than that, everything that you should need can be found in our Themer’s Guide.
