Hey Danny – I have the same problem as Tom.

I’m using the 2019 theme, but not able to apply different fonts even with the force changes active.

I’ve tried to target the font-family with CSS and !important to no avail either.. Just wondering if you or anyone knows of any instances where someone is using the 2019 theme and able to change the font-family.

    Thank you!

I am actually developing on my computer using MAMP right now so I can’t give you a live website link, but here’s a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/lcZy8De
I chose garamond just as a serif option to show that no changes are being applied.

    Hi @carolchaan,

Thanks for opening a new ticket, it makes it easier to track issues.

In my testing of TwentyNineteen, it appears the ‘Base Typography’ setting is affecting the post/page content, but not the post/page title and navigation. Is that what you are seeing too?

    Hi @dannycooper,

Thanks for getting back to me!

Yes – I think it is just the page title and navigation that aren’t getting fonts applied. I tried on other pages and ‘base typography’ does change large bodies of texts, and ‘headings typography’ changes all the titles.

    Hi @carolchaan,

Those areas are configurable within ‘Advanced Settings’:

    • Navigation
    • Content → Title and H1 Typography

We are also exploring ways to make this more intuitive.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

    Thanks!
