Not working with some elements of DIVI theme

Greetings,

First, let me say I absolutely think this is such an awesome and important plugin.

I am using the DIVI theme by Elegant Themes. There are a couple of elements that do not display.
… carrot characters for the top menu drop downs. (Replaced with a “3”)
… search icon at top right. (replaced with a “U”)
… social media icons at bottom right of page.

I have put up a test site where you can see the problem. Please note that the problem is different depending on the browser used. Using google chrome you will see little squares at the bottom where the media icons are supposed to display. Using Safari they don’t display at all.
