I had previously mapped the shortcode [mortgagecalculator] into visual composer and everything was working.

But just noticed the page is not functioning as expected now. It does not verify the form – nor return results.

Digging around, I noticed the js wasn’t loading – so I enqueued it manually via the functions.php – but that didn’t even fix the issue. (NOTE: it’s currently NOT enqueued).

    e.g. https://penzone2.nuv3.com/mortgage-calculator/

Tried the shortcode in a standard (non visual composer page) and it works.

Convert that page to VC page and it’ll work. BUT… if you make ANY changes to the VC layout (i.e., add rows, columns, anything) and it fails again.

    So… I guess I have two questions…

    1) is this compatible with Visual Composer

    2) do you have any suggestions?

  • Yes, there are definitely compatibility issues with Visual Composer. There are a couple suggestions in the FAQ for dealing with this issue. I’m just added a tweak to version 2.2.1 that might take care of the issue once and for all. Try it out and let me know.

Excellent. That worked. I had missed that helpful tid-bit. Thanks.

I’ve taken another look at your example page. There is a 404 error for the JS file – for some reason the URL request is getting mixed up with the directory structure!!?

I’ll be looking into VC compatibility, but I’m not sure that’s the issue here.
