I use qtranslatex in more then 30 websites on wpmu with different plugins and themes was working till the upgrade to wp 4.2.3.

Another thing we have done is a reset of file permission on the server

yes, on the same wpmu, I have done:
– the upgrade to qtraslatex 3.4.3
– Activated twenty fifteen
– Deactivated the all the plugins except qtraslatex and domain mapping

if you say all sites are on the same server it seems to me it is a server problem.

Yes, it could be but what type of server problem?
We have made a reset of server file permission, and for example was not able to auto update, now we have fixed the auto update of plugins but qtraslatex still do not work.

please check the file permissions from qTranslate X

You could also try to reset qTranslate X
