Not Working With WP 5.5

    Hi there,

    I hope you are well.

    We have recently updated WordPress from 5.4.2 to 5.5 but upon doing so, the Easy Custom Auto Excerpt has stopped working. i.e. our blog page is no longer showing excerpts, instead it is showing the full article length.

    Here is the staging site with WP 5.5. showing the problem:

    Here is the live site with WP 5.4.2 where the auto excerpt plugin is still working:

    Help with this would be greatly appreciated!
