• I’ve been using this plugin successfully for a couple of years. It has always been slightly awkward when used with the WP Offload Media Lite plugin, which stores my media files on Amazon S3, but usually the “Replace the file, use new file name and update all links” will work. Right now, not even that option is working and the old file remains stubbornly in place despite site cache flushes, browser cache flushes, etc. My only solution now is to add a new media item, change the link manually and then delete the old item.

    Hey @skirridsystems,

    Sorry to hear that ??

I just want to understand, what part of the process is not working? The file replacement, the file name change or the link update from all pages?

    Hello,

also experiencing this problem, using Offload Media Lite to get my images on the S3 CDN, but apart from the thumbnails, I dont see the actual files being changed on the server.

Any known issues with Offload compatability?

    Hi @somsookheimwee,

Thanks for the report. Probably the latest version of WP Offload Media “broke” the compatibility, so I just filed a new task for our devs so they can fix it.

Unfortunately, I don’t have an ETA, so please stay tuned to your WordPress updates to know when the fix will come ??

    Cheers!

I have now tried this on a test site with only the 2020 theme and combinations of EMR, WP Offload Media Lite and ShortPixel Image Optimizer.

What I observe is that EMR works by itself, and with OML or SIO separately, but the combination of all three does not work.

The Edit Media page, where I go to upload the replacement, has a Save panel at top right, showing the file name and the URL. When I use the option to replace/rename/update then I see the filename updated but the URL stays the same. If I refresh the page then the URL is updated. My guess is that there is an ordering problem here, where the correct file is uploaded by EMR but SIO then overwrites it with an optimised version of the old file.

Are you able to reproduce the problem in your lab?

    Hi @skirridsystems,

Thanks for your explanation. I will pass it to our technical team so we can work on it.

    Best,
