    This feature is great but needs to be supported in modern wordpress fresh installs which has a file named wp-salt.php. After making some changes, nothing happens, I check the wp-salt.php there is no changes with the keys.

    Hi @jundellagbo,

    Fixing that should be easy. But I do have a question when you say “needs to be supported in modern wordpress fresh installs”, I installed a fresh WordPress 6.1 installation and could not find that new wp-salt.php file.

    I have seen this file before but I need to be able to create it to be able to fix the issue. Do you have any hints regarding creating that file?

    Hi @nagdy,

    Sorry, It’s an old version of wordpress fresh install I mean, it has wp-salt.php file already with salt keys inside of it.

    Because we have an existing websites but updating wordpress did not overide the salt keys implementation in wp-config.php, it has a code requiring that file.

    @jundellagbo,

    I believe that file belongs to some specific hosting providers, from my online search, I found this request for Cloudways to get rid of it.

    Are you hosting your websites on Cloudways? Answering this will help me figure out the way to fix this issue.

    Thank you!

    @jundellagbo,

    Yes, I am hosting my sites in cloudways.

    Thank you! That explains it. This is only happening with Cloudways. I’ll add it to the plugin to work with wp-salt.php files.

    Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
