I’ve been a web designer for 30 years and have used Jetpack for 8 years now across all our sites. However, it seems to be less and less useful with each update and “feature” they add, and just more and more bloatware. Recently, it has caused extreme slowness and high resource runs on our server, causing sites to fail to load. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen a Jetpack update or release cause problems and take down our sites. I will be removing it from all our sites and those of our clients.

    Hi there, @nathandloper,

Thanks for sharing your honest feedback, and we’re sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience over the last few plugin updates.

Usually, when issues like slow loading and bloat appear, they could be related to other aspects that affect how Jetpack interacts with your servers and other plugins/software. If there’s a common pattern among the sites you handle, it might be easier for us to pinpoint the issue’s root.

We’re sad to hear you will give up with Jetpack entirely on all your clients’ sites. If you change your mind and want to give Jetpack another try, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll be more than happy to investigate.

I am removing it also. All sites are almost unresponsive. After deactivated Jetpack everything back to normal

    Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your experience. If Jetpack is causing performance issues, it might be worth reviewing the Modules page to ensure only necessary features are active. Additionally, consider checking for conflicts with other plugins or themes, as these can sometimes cause slowdowns. If you decide to give Jetpack another try, feel free to reply to this thread for further assistance.
