    Hi,

    Thank you for using WP-Statistics.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this update may have caused and we are working hard to fix all the reported issues.

WP-Statistics v13.0.3 might not be compatible with some of the PHP versions. So if your website is using a version lower than PHP 7.3, please do not update your plugin.

If you access your WordPress Admin Panel, just deactivate the plugin, and install v12.6.13. Otherwise, you can do that through CPanel/FTP. Delete the WP Statistics folder. Then replace it with the previous version of the plugin which is v12.6.13.
To get that version, you can select and download it at the bottom of this page.
You will need to extract the file to obtain the wp-statistics folder if you are doing that via FTP. Then copy this to your wp/content/plugins folder.

However, if you encounter this error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in /wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78
and you do not have any other problem with the plugin, you can ignore it. Because it belongs to our previous version and occurs once, while updating to the new version, and it doesn’t cause any problem.

We do our best to resolve all the issues and release a new version as soon as possible.

Again, we are truly sorry for what happened, and thanks for reporting all the issues.

    Best,

  • @veronalabs Thank you. Peeps sometimes don’t realize how much work goes into the soup.

13.0.4 looks ok now to me, everything is fine and visitors are counted

Thanks a lot for all your work on this!

I can confirm that with PHP 7.4.12 on FreeBSD the 13.0.4 version does NOT work.

    During update, I get this

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(287): WP_Statistics_Welcome::do_welcome(Object(Plugin_Upgrader), Array) #1 /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(311): WP_Hook->apply_filters('', Array) #2 /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-includes/plugin.php(478): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-admin/includes/class-plugin-upgrader.php(371): do_action('upgrader_proces...', Object(Plugin_Upgrader), Array) #4 /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-admin/update.php(51): Plugin_Upgrader->bulk_upgrade(Array) #5 {main} thrown in /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php on line 78

After that, whenever I open the Dashboard, I get a 504 Gateway Time-out from nginx. Via e-mail, WordPress tells me

Ein Fehler vom Typ E_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 78 der Datei /usr/local/www/mysite/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php verursacht. Breaking Javascript is serious and I think you should release a new version to fix 13.0.4 sooner than “one week,” if the reports in other threads are correct. When JS throws an error it stops active elements on all Dashboard and other pages that your plugin loads its scripts into. Typically plugins that break Javascript cause elements on Post/Page editing screens to fail. I realize this is a free plugin, but it needs to be fixed right away.

A common cause lately has been WordPress core going to more recent version of jQuery.

    To all,

I wonder if anyone sees the significant difference in the v12.6.13 vs the v13.0.x

The way visitors are counted has CHANGED COMPLETELY.

    For example:

    https://postimg.cc/Z02VzYwX

    Hi

I was having fatal error issues on my website after updating to WP-Statistics 13. The web traffic was up to 80 times the monthly average.

As suggested, I rolled back to version 12.6.13. Each time I’ve activated it in WordPress there is a critical error.

My web host is running PHP 7.3.6.

What’s the ETA for fixing the issues with v13?

    —–

Update: My web host has upgraded my server to PHP 7.4 and now the WP-Statistics 12.13.6 is working.

I’m on 13.0.4 with PHP 7.3.23 and the plugin seems to work fine. However, as @lccwgtn already pointed out, the visit counters for individual posts (shown in the posts section) are significantly lower (factor of ~ 6) now after the update. Have there been any changes in how visits are counted? Can I get back to the old way of counting hits without downgrading the plugin? I am using the “WP Fastest Cache” plugin and have enabled the Cache Plugin option on the settings page.

    Hi WP Statistics Team,
I’ve updated to 13.04 and everything is working fine now like before the update. But since Version 13, installed in Novembre, the 30 (the update day) my visitors count broke in dramatically. According to the statistics, I have only a quarter of all visitors since that day. Is that really a coincidence? I can’t believe it. What could I do to get my old visitor countings back? My website uses PHP 7.4. Could you help me?

    Greetings Martin

    Best,

    Hi,
I’m working on a preinstalled WP (WordPress 5.6 on Altervista) on PHP 5.6.

The installed plugin is 13.0.4… and the overview doesn’t work…

    This thread is not resolved.

    Hi @ll!

I see there is an Update to V 13.0.5 available, did you have tried this Version alreday? Are there still errors running?

Besides that a late Merry Christmas to all!

Greetings and thanks for some feedback
