    Hi,

    Thank you for using WP-Statistics.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this update may have caused and we are working hard to fix all the reported issues.

WP-Statistics v13.0.3 might not be compatible with some of the PHP versions. So if your website is using a version lower than PHP 7.3, please do not update your plugin.

If you access your WordPress Admin Panel, just deactivate the plugin, and install v12.6.13. Otherwise, you can do that through CPanel/FTP. Delete the WP Statistics folder. Then replace it with the previous version of the plugin which is v12.6.13.
To get that version, you can select and download it at the bottom of this page.
You will need to extract the file to obtain the wp-statistics folder if you are doing that via FTP. Then copy this to your wp/content/plugins folder.

However, if you encounter this error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in /wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78
and you do not have any other problem with the plugin, you can ignore it. Because it belongs to our previous version and occurs once, while updating to the new version, and it doesn’t cause any problem.

We do our best to resolve all the issues and release a new version as soon as possible.

Again, we are truly sorry for what happened, and thanks for reporting all the issues.

    Best,

  • @leogc For me also the version 13.0.5 does not work together with fastest cache. It doesn’t count. I had to downgrade again. ??

@skull77 thanks for letting me know, i use WP-Optimize Cache and an external chache so maybe i will wait for more updates, sound that from Version 13 the statiscis tool is not in best shape.

As somebody writes, it works fine for sites with few visitors.

    – We have 2 little sites with few hundreds of visitors each day : WP_statistics seems working fine and the number of visitors seems correct.
    – and we have a big site wth 8,000 – 10,000 visitors each days. Our site is working under php 7.3 and WordPress 5.6
On this site, we are using since 18 months 2 plugins : Wp-statistics and Jetpack. They were all the time correlated between them. Then came the v13.xx

We have made many measures to understand what was going wrong, and begin metrics with differents parameters during many days of december.
For ‘normal’ days, 5,400 visitors are counted with v13.x, comparing to 8,300 on v12.x and Jetpack !
WP_statistics v13.x underestimates dramatically our visitors.

May be WP_statistics has become too fat and too slow to be able to count every visitors ?

    Regards,

    Hello,

Since November and despite the updates of the plugin, the stats only go up very partially, see not at all. It worked very well before. The latest version does not solve the problem. It is used on emaginance.com // Thank you for the next correction.

When will the problem finally be fixed? I can not update from 12.6.13 for weeks now. Using a plugin that is not up to date for so long is a nogo!

    Hi,

Just want to point out another issue. WooCommerce Product categories images are not showing on the wp-admin. Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/wmpi0f

Deactivating the plugin, fixed the problem and images start appearing.
On activating the plugin, images gone again.

Here are the details of my server.
    PHP version: 7.4.6
    WooCommerce version: 4.9.0
    WP Statistics version: 13.0.5
    Theme Avada: 7.2.1
    Hosting: Kinsta

    Thanks

I am finally deactivating this plugin on one of my sites that is running the version 13.0.5

Because it is generating this error message:

Here is an error associated with Connecting WordPress Rest API
cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: https://www.my-site.com
Please Flushing rewrite rules or activate WordPress REST API for performance WP-Statistics Plugin Cache / Go Settings->Permalinks

And there is no solution for it. I tried to save my Permalinks again, and still, the problem persists.

I think the plugin is broken since version 13.x.x

Does anyone know if there is a possibility to migrate to another plugin. This one is getting too stupid for me.

Bliss7 => I think the plugin is broken since version 13.x.x

Support, is there a chance to have a solution in next version? Your plugin is installed on many websites on our side…

    Thank you.

Why is the problem actually marked as solved. As soon as I update to a version greater than 13, nothing is counted anymore. From my point of view nothing is solved here. On the contrary!
    V13.0.5 is still broken.

WP Statistics does its job simply and beautifully and is easy to operate. I have been a happy user for years on several sites. But after the latest update (13.0.5) the graph part of “pages” statistics is no longer able to correctly find and display the most viewed pages in a period. And confusingly, the small date selection pop-up windows to set the period’s start and end are displayed with days in reverse order (SSFTWTM). As far as I remember, the list of “top pages” used to be sensitive to the choice of period. I am not sure of that, but obviously this would be useful. In any case, now it can give only the total number of visits per page since plugin installation.

More mysterious behavior: “Top 5 pages trends” in one of my sites is now dominated by links to unapproved comments to posts, and “Top pages” list is unable to group visits to a particular page together and instead lists separate counts for specific calling URLs containing arguments from facebook etc. (although I have selected “Strip URL Parameters”). “Top pages trends” in several bilingual sites are now only able to count pages in one of he languages although the “Top pages” is still able to collect data from pages in both languages. Weirdly, it is not the same language in all sites – in one site WPStatistics prefers Danish pages, in another, English. I am 99% sure that all of this used to be handled correctly (meaningfully) in previous plugin versions.

This is a great useful plugin, so I hope these are temporary glitches that will be gone after the next update ??

From the page section you cannot see the number of visitors for a certain period, shows for all time

    Same shit here:
    WordPress-Version 5.6.1
Aktuelles Plugin: WP Statistics (Version 13.0.5)
    PHP-Version 8.0.1
