I’m testing this plugin on a local server (so unfortunately, I can’t show you what is happening).
I’m using WordPress 5.7.1-en_GB with no other plugins. The URL I’m trying to display is https://public.tableau.com/views/Covid_16197661745310/Sheet1?:language=en-GB&:display_count=y&:origin=viz_share_link or https://public.tableau.com/profile/nhan.le7536#!/vizhome/Covid_16197661745310/Sheet1

Neither work, all I’m seeing on the page is a blank screen.

The page code is as follows

I’ve tried it with several different displays (including the one you use as an example (https://public.tableau.com/views/WorldIndicators/GDPpercapita) and I’m getting nothing at all.

If I embed the Tableau Dashboard as explained in https://community.tableau.com/s/question/0D54T00000C6X5fSAF/embedding-interactive-dashboard-into-wordpress-site it works fine.

Any suggestions please

@trevorwood This hasn’t been tested with this version of WP. You might want to check if your browser is blocking scripts from running.

I will try testing it on this particular version and replicating your issue.

My browser isn’t blocking scripts – I’ve tried with both Firefox and Chrome.
Yes I can see https://test-wp-tab-demo.pantheonsite.io/2021/05/11/gdp-per-capita/ in both Firefox and Chrome

Thanks, the first thing to check would be if it works with the same setup as my demo:
1. Plain installation WP 5.7.1
2. Theme: Twenty Twenty-One Version: 1.3
3. No other plugins.

If this works for you, then it could be a conflicting script in the theme

UPDATE: I looked closely at the link you are specifying and I think was able to replicate your issue.

URL 1 : The plugin does not support filters in this way since it uses Tableau’s JS API. I haven’t figured out a way to do filters throught this plugin yet. Maybe in a future version. It will work if you leave out the filters.

URL 2: The plugin does not support this type of URL structure.

The plugin strictly follows this format of URL:

https://public.tableau.com/views/WorldIndicators/GDPpercapita

Ah – got it sorted.
So this is what I had to do. Go to the Tableau page (https://public.tableau.com/profile/nhan.le7536#!/vizhome/ClaimantCount_16197652432300/Sheet1). Click on the share button and copy the link (https://public.tableau.com/views/ClaimantCount_16197652432300/Sheet1?:language=en-GB&:display_count=y&:origin=viz_share_link) and paste in everything before the ?
https://public.tableau.com/views/ClaimantCount_16197652432300/Sheet1

Would it be possible to modify the plugin so that it ignores everything from the ? onwards?
It’s just that the people who will be adding new content to the website are economists and not that clued up on web stuff. They’re bound to forget, even if they have written instructions. It would be greatly appreciated
