nothing displaying?!?

Hi I am having some problems with installing wordpress 2. I am running on apache and a few weeks ago I installed an older version of wordpress and my set up worked with no problems with that.

So my problem is there is nothing displaying. I have tracked the problem to the wp_cache_get($id, $flag = ”) function in the wp-includes/cache.php

but cant find the $wp_object_cache object.

Has anyone else had a problem where nothing is displaying at all? And has wordpress 2.0 changed alot from the last release.
