• Hi Joe!

First of all thank you for this big plugin of options and for free.

Unfortunately it has started to fail, I do not know at what time and it does not show more information about the events as if it will be a post in events section.

Everything is well linked. I even made a video in early January 2019 where everything was going correctly. But I do not know why it’s going wrong now.

You can see events in December 2018.

To say that the website is for a client, I do not know if she change something although it does not seem.

Could you tell me what caused this error?

    Greetings from Spain!

I was testing now on ‘My Calendar’ > Settings > Output > Use Pretty Permalinks for Events. It was something that had activated with the option that comes by default base: mc-events.

    Remaining my target URL: https://misionesperanzaburgos.org/mc-events

It recently stopped working. And when I try to remove the use of pretty permalinks for events, I see that it works well to see the info as if it were a post but of events.

Why has the use of pretty permalinks suddenly stopped working? Being something so good for SEO that does not force to create normal post.

    Greetings!

Coincidences of life, by deactivating this box: Use Pretty Permalinks for Events and save changes to try… It worked fine without pretty permalinks like I said.

I turned it on again to try… and now it goes well again with Pretty Permalinks.

However, it seems that the problem can be repeated in the future so I recommend that you review it if possible in a test facility.

Greetings and I feel the discomfort.

The permalink slug used on your permalink settings should not be used anywhere else in your settings, and must not be the name of a page on your site – that will cause problems.

You should have a primary page for your calendar, and it should *not* match that slug. The primary page for your calendar is what you would usually use anywhere else that calls for a URL.

    Hello Joe.
    Thanks for answer so soon.

I do not have any page called ‘mc-events’ created, this refers to ‘My Calendar Events base’ (which is in Settings > Permament links). By default, that base name is already established (mc-events).

This afternoon I did another test in the first place where I installed the plugin and I found the problem by surprise.

I have the habit of disabling some plugins that I think are heavy, to be able to update them and that WordPress does not show the ugly web maintenance screen (white background with black letters).

When the plugin is deactivated, and reactivated… for some strange reason it does not recognize the routes where there is information, this route I am referring to:
    https://misionesperanzaburgos.org/mc-events/campamento-de-navidad/?mc_id=42
Works correctly, but if I deactivate and re-activate the plugin it will put ‘not found’.

The only way to get it all right again is to deactivate ‘Use Pretty Permalinks For Events’ (My calendar > Settings > Output). Saving. Re-checking box. And again saving. And everything returns again to go Ok.

You can do the test yourself.

    Greetings!
