Nothing happen when change the theme

I created a new theme and added it to the theme-folder / mage-events / themes / folder. Exactly as described in its documentation https://demo.vaincode.com/mage-event/documentation/how-to-create-new-theme-template/.
However, when I select my theme or any other in the general settings panel, no changes happen in the event list, nor in the event details page.
