Nothing happens at final install step

  • When I visit your site the directory listing shows that you only have a directory called /cgi-bin. Make sure you’ve uploaded everything correctly. Once you have, you should be able to go through the install process by going to https://puddleduckvalley.co.uk/wp-admin.

    Error establishing a database connection

    Check your database details with your hosts.

    Thanks for the tips folks, I managed to fix the ‘nothing happens’ issue by moving all the WordPress content to the root of the public html folder. Now I get the database connection error that esmi refers to. I checked all of the settings and they are correct. The only settimg I can’t check is db host: localhost. I’ve sent an email to my host to see if this needs changing. Will keep you posted… Thanks Phil
