Nothing happens when clicking on links

I don’t know when this started happening but for some reason links are just not working on my wordpress site. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins, updating everything, removing sidebars and menus, everything I can think of and the issue does not go away.

It’s really strange, it seems like something is blocking the mouse click events in some way (both left and right clicks) for hiperlinks.

I tried looking at the source code but I can’t find anything, if any of you can shed some light on this I’d be forever grateful.
