Nothing saving when editing images

    All of a sudden today when I try to edit an image, nothing is being saved. I cannot add a caption, alt text or edit the size of the image. And if I make changes to existing alt text, capition, etc., it doesn’t save it. It says “yoastmark under alt text when I go back in and check.

    I disabled the yoast plugin and the problem goes away. I do have the latest version of Yoast. The last update was over a week ago so it doesn’t seem like it has anything to do with that because everything was fine until today.

    That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

    If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

    This is not specific to 40andholding and it is not resolved. It is appearing on multiple sites of mine as well, and none of them have the same theme.

    And when I did a search on “yoastmark”, all sorts of search results appeared with the same “yoastmark” in these people’s blog images, too. It’s a problem.

    I like the Yoast plugin, but I’m at the point of having to stop using it because it’s causing such a huge problem with my images. And yes, the problem goes away when the Yoast plugin is not active.
